A short, opinionated read on why this company exists, who we built it for, and the things we promise we will not do.
Every developer is a vibe coder now. Some are senior staff engineers paid mid-six figures to write production systems for a bank; some are nineteen-year-olds shipping a Stripe webhook on a Tuesday from a coffee shop in Lisbon. Both prompt the same models. Both ship code faster than any human review process was designed for. Both deserve tools that meet them where they are.
The premise.
The shape of software development has changed. Code is being written by humans in conversation with models, and the conversation is the new IDE. The result is more code per developer than any tool we have today was built to handle — more code reviewed by no one, more code shipped through no security review, more code documented by nobody, more code understood by no human in the loop.
We don't think that's a problem to roll back. The leverage is real. We think the answer is a new generation of developer tools — built for this shape of work, honest about what it requires, and refusing to insult the people doing it.
The promise.

The solo founder pasting their first Stripe key into a repo deserves the same quality of tooling as the bank-grade enterprise team running a thousand repos under regulation. We will not gate features behind "Enterprise" plans you have to call a salesperson to unlock. The wedge product is free because the wedge audience is everyone.
We build the moat with you, not around you.
Secure finds what's leaking. Atlas maps what you built. Code is the harness that helps you ship. Every product is a wall you can stand behind — built from your own source, on a spec we publish. The drawbridge is open. The water in the moat is for competitors, not customers.
Every finding has evidence.
We do not ship "something might be wrong here." We ship a file path, a line number, the actual snippet, the why, and the fix. If we can't show you the code, we don't ship the claim. This is the texture of trust.
Your code never leaves a sandbox.
Every scan, every map, every harness run happens in an ephemeral VM that self-destructs at the end of the run. We don't train on your code. We don't store your code. We don't read it on a phone in a cafe. The output is signed and the sandbox is gone.
Mono is the texture of trust.
Every coordinate, every hash, every path, every snippet renders in monospace. When you see mono, you know it's something you can click, copy, grep, or fix. It's a small thing that adds up to "this tool was made by people who write code."
We never celebrate bad results.
"Great news, we found 12 critical issues!" is a sentence we will never write. A critical finding is not a marketing moment. We report it, we hand you the fix, we move on. The brand is what we don't say.
Speed is a feature.
A free scan that takes 90 minutes isn't free. We engineered every Legion product around a clock — Secure runs in five minutes, Atlas updates on every commit, Code's harness plans in seconds. Anything slower is a bug we fix.
We do not pretend to be a CISO.
Legion is a developer tool, made by developers, for developers. We don't sell fear. We don't run "threat intelligence" newsletters. We don't have a hotline to a man in a suit. We ship a scanner, a map, and a harness — and we get out of your way.
The line we will defend.
We are building the toolchain for the era of AI-augmented development. Not the toolchain that tolerates it. Not the toolchain that resists it. The toolchain that takes it seriously, treats its practitioners as serious people, and ships software that's a pleasure to write under either kind of cognition.
